Big Balloon Build Colorado, a fundraiser to benefit Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy in Greeley, Colorado was a huge success!
Over 6000 guests gathered at the new Aims Community College Welcome Center from July 20-23, 2023, to celebrate community, joy, and connection during 8 unique events, raising $80,000 for the CASA Program and Child Advocacy Centers at Life Stories. This fun filled, one-time event, hosted by Life Stories, Balloon Art by Merry Makers and the Big Balloon Build organization, brought over 75 balloon artists from all over the world to Greeley, CO to create an unforgettable experience for children and families. They transformed the Aims Welcome Center Ballroom into a magical immersive “Space” experience designed entirely with balloons – more than 125,000 of them. Funds were raised though sponsorships, donations, ticket sales in addition to in-kind donations.
The event provided a unique opportunity to increase outreach, creating awareness about child abuse prevention and about Life Stories’ response to child abuse and neglect in Weld County. It was publicized throughout the greater Northern Colorado region on TV, radio, social media, print media and through community agencies.
The funds raised by The Big Balloon Build will help fund Life Stories programs so we can provide advocacy and support to children who have experienced abuse and neglect in Weld County, helping them go on to a safe, happy, and successful future.
