Capital Campaign 2021
We are excited to debut our beautiful Capital Campaign Donor Wall in the lobby of our new building! It was designed and donated by Circle Graphics. If you haven’t donated yet, you have another opportunity to Leave a Legacy. Donate $250 or more to our Capital Campaign before April 30 and we will add your name or the name of your loved one to our wall. Donations of over $250 or more are also eligible for the Colorado Child Care Tax Credit.
Leave a Legacy – Donate to our Capital Campaign
Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy recently renovated our new building to better serve the increasing numbers of child victims of abuse in Weld County. Please join us as we continue to create a lasting home for the children and youth served by the CASA Program and Child Advocacy Center.
Be part of a special commemorative opportunity to leave a lasting tribute. Adding a name to our Building Partners Wall designed by Circle Graphics is a great way to honor a friend, loved one, volunteer, staff member or group. It shows your support to ensure that many children for years to come will have the powerful advocacy and support that they need. By donating a minimum of $250 in this final phase of our Capital Campaign, you or your loved one will become a part of the ongoing history of this special building. We invite you to help provide a foundation of hope for the children and youth we serve.
Your gift directly supports the Capital Campaign for Life Stories.
Donations of $250 or more may also be eligible for the Colorado Child Care Tax Credit. Indicate on the form or website if you would like to receive documentation for your taxes.
Increasing Demand
From 2016 to 2017, there was a 5.8% increase in the number of confirmed cases of child abuse in Weld County. During that same period, there was a 19.87% increase in children placed in out of home care. This indicates that the severity of the children’s situations has worsened.
Life Stories is currently at capacity. One interview room limits the number of cases the Child Advocacy Center can handle. Limited office space leaves no room for additional staff expansion. CASA trainings are often held off site due to limited space.
Life Stories’ new home will double the capacity of the Child Advocacy Center. It will allow for streamlined
services, creating a family-friendly one-stop shop. It will also allow for a space that is more welcoming to teen and adult victims.
For the CASA program, this new home will provide a calm, welcoming space for CASA volunteers. They will
be able to attend training on site, meet with staff for support, and access resources.
Key Features
▶ 2 Forensic Interview Rooms
▶ Seperate entrance for law enforcement
▶ State of the art security
▶ ADA accessibility
▶ Training/Conference Rooms

“A couple of years ago, I came to Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy (formerly A Kid’s Place) after my aunt discovered what my mom’s boyfriend had been doing to me. I was so scared to tell someone. I had tried to tell my mom several times, but she didn’t believe me. The people at Life Stories were so professional and caring, that I finally felt comfortable sharing the worst thing that had ever happened to me– even my worst fear – that he would hurt my little sister and brother. Because my mom chose to stay with her boyfriend, we moved in with my aunt. When that happened, a CASA volunteer, Kelly, started to visit us once a week. Kelly was so nice. She listened when I told how things were going and how much we missed mom. She played with my brother and sister. She even helped mom get into parenting classes. We hope to move back with her soon.
Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy has helped us so much. By supporting this Capital Campaign, you will help Life Stories help more kids like us.
