Hello Life Stories Supporters!

I’m Lisa Drake, the new director at Life Stories. Since taking the helm in February, I’ve been amazed by the dedication of our team and the generosity of supporters like you.

Let’s talk impact:

We served over 600 kids through our Child Advocacy Center (CAC) and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) programs last fiscal year. That’s 349 children who had a safe place to tell their stories, 253 voices amplified in the foster care system, and 602 lives forever changed. In addition, our CAC supported 647 secondary victims: caregivers and non-offending family members who also need support during this particularly challenging time.

Much has changed over the past 6 months, strengthening our ability to serve:

  • We welcomed Melany Marrero, our new CASA Supervisor in July.
  • Elizavet Carranza Arroyo joined us as a Bilingual Family Advocate in late May.
  • Mattie Harbour was promoted to CASA Program & Outreach Coordinator in May.
  • Susan McKenzie joined us as our inaugural Fundraising and Development Manager in April.

Now, it’s time to get ready for some Superhero action! Our beloved Superheroes Run is coming up on September 21st at the Greeley Funplex. It’s a day of fun, fitness, and fundraising that you won’t want to miss. After all, every participant is a real-life superhero to the kids we serve. Click here to register or learn more.

Stay tuned for future communications packed with inspiring stories, volunteer spotlights, and ways you can make a difference. Your support fuels our mission, and we couldn’t do this without you.

Here’s to a future where every child feels safe, valued, and heard,
Lisa Drake
