For almost 25 years, Life Stories has helped thousands of children who have been victims of abuse or neglect in Weld County by hearing their stories of maltreatment and advocating on their behalf.
During our last fiscal year,
In our CASA program, 41 new volunteers joined our 100 active CASA volunteers to be a voice for 253 children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Having a responsible, caring and consistent adult in their lives gives children the opportunity to thrive.
In our Child Advocacy Center we forensically interviewed 419 children who were witnesses or victims of a violent crime and provided 681 caregivers and non-offending family members with resources to help their families start to heal.
In our Darkness to Light Prevention program, 78 adults were educated on how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse during 17 Virtual workshops.
All of our services are provided at no cost to children or families.
If you would like to help Life Stories, in the coming year, please consider becoming involved in the coming year. Find out how!
