In early September, Detective Elizabeth Finch was suddenly affected by an onset of (ITP) idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura; a serious blood disorder that can be fatal. Elizabeth’s symptoms from this caused her condition to elevate rapidly becoming critical in nature. She was emergently admitted to the hospital in the ICU fighting daily for her life. Just recently, she was allowed to leave the ICU still hospitalized and finds herself on the way to a slow recovery process.
Elizabeth has been in law enforcement over 20 years and is an 18 year Greeley Police Department veteran. She has been a Detective since 2007 serving in the child abuse unit; handling the most difficult and sensitive cases. She has performed in an exceptional manner throughout her tenure in this position helping numerous victims and their families achieve closure and justice. She is highly dedicated to her assignment, to her community and to all victims.
Knowing how Elizabeth is a dedicated servant of the community, a dedicated wife and loving mother of three kids; we as her friends, know she and her family appreciate everyone’s support and efforts in helping her recovery process in any way possible.
To show our support for Elizabeth, Life Stories is hosting a platelet drive during the month of November. Please see the attached flier with details and a link to schedule your platelet donation. Together we can make a difference for Elizabeth and others needing lifesaving platelets!
